Samantha Nelson delights in connecting with clients, offering a non-judgmental, collaborative space to support healing, growth, and alignment with one’s most authentic self. A graduate of Yorkville University with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, Samantha’s approach is rooted in mindful awareness and guided by an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed lens. She draws on a strengths-based philosophy, empowering clients to explore their emotions and process life’s challenges while rediscovering their inner resilience.

Samantha integrates a range of evidence-based modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), emotion-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and somatic approaches like EMDR and mindfulness meditation. She also has a strong interest in psychoanalytic practices, which deepen her ability to support clients in uncovering and understanding the root causes of their struggles.

Samantha’s lived experience with mental health challenges brings a sense of compassion, openness, and camaraderie to her sessions. She passionately believes in the possibility of transformation and is honored to support clients as they embrace healing, authenticity, and alignment in their lives.
